Textiles have the power to remind us of home - the cherished memories of the family we’ve left behind and the soothing stories of our mothers and foremothers. Textile practices embody acts of care: mending, joining and creating represent tangible forms of nurturing, supporting, and healing.
We embrace the intuitive process and mistakes. With the Intuitive Embroidery Workshop the Crow Stitch Collective wish to share the spontaneity that guided them since their first venture into embroidery. They invite participants to create in a communal setting, helping everyone to create a safe space where stories can be shared and words can be playfully woven to create collective narratives.
So let’s stitch together!

Crow Stitch Collective consists of Yara Chaalan (LB), Alessia Talò (IT) and Yegane Mehrzad (IR) who met at the Master of Arts in Fine Arts & Design at Avans/St. Joost in Den Bosch. About their collaboration they say: ‘As we weave our distinct narratives while embodying crowness, our lives intertwine in moments of quiet reflection, shared meals, coffee and tea making, travels and creative practices.’
With this workshop we connect to the exhibition Scores of Resilience in the Willem Twee Fabriek, in which Crow Stitch Collective participates with an installation: https://www.willem-twee.nl/alle-activiteiten/scores-of-resilience.
